Please excuse any bias towards the west of the county as that is where I was raised.
Hi Brian
I found your blog via flickr stats, and enjoyed reading through this well written and well presented material on one of my favourite counties.
A tiny correction – the pub shown in my picture which accompanies the ‘Rock and Chips’ entry is in fact the ‘Rock Point Inn’. [Corrected]
With Best Regards,
Ian
I stumbled upon this blog while doing research on my first ancestors married here in America – Susanna Way (of Bridport) and John Pelton (of Devon). Thanks for this blog, Brian. I’ll visit often.
My Facebook link is posted as “website” above.

This is an excellent blog and gives a great feel for the county, showing that there are other things in the county other than the holiday towns. It provides an alternative other activity based sites such as AllAboutGoingOut.com

Great website – cracking photos!
Will visit more often – I am a Bournemouth man and love the purbecks and pretty much all of Bournemouth.
Dorset has so much to offer and there is still so many places I haven’t visited. Who needs to go abroad when you live here?
Mark
I love Dorset and was born here in 1952. Moved away and lived other places off and on but back in Dorset to stay and would not ever consider moving anywhere else ever again. Been trying to connect with people who were teenagers or older between 1960-1970 to catch up on old times in Dorset together. Hope this catches someone’s eye in that category. Best Wishes Maria Morley(nee Dominey)
Hi Maria, you sound like Daves wife, good luck with your searching,All the very best,Ray
